A big thanks to Mrs Stewart for these terrific pieces of art work. The students used chalk to draw the outlines of their faces, coloured it with crayon then used dye to paint over the pictures. The finished product looks really neat!

Your word of the week is serpentine. It’s a pretty tricky word this time and I hope you can come up with some really inventive and interesting sentences.

Mr C’s sentence: The dance floor was empty until Mr C strutted into the center, the room completely silent barring the pulse of the dance music. It was then when he busted out his serpentine dance moves, twisting and turning like he was possessed by the God of Dancing herself.

You also have until the end of the week to get your votes in for our class mascot. I will close the poll at 3:00pm Friday, so get your votes in before then!

One thing you can guarantee when Mr Stoddart visits is that there will be some great creations by the end of the day, and this week was no exception. Using only magazines, a roll of paper and some pastels we created some fantastic maori capes that will go on parade in assembly this week.

Great work on your comics those people who managed to finish them, the ballad writing was particularly impressive from a few of you. I will post some of my favourites on the blog in the next day or two. They are going to sound great in our production. I hope Phillip and Quintin are practising their pegs!

There will be a reward for anyone who can figure out whats behind the WIZ, your guesses aren’t far off so far.

As you can see by the photos, Room one has had a ball cutting up magazines to create their mosaics. Mr Stoddart has helped us begin to create some outstanding artwork, can’t wait to see the finished products. I am also looking forward to seeing the program you all set up for Mrs Ward’s triathlon training. She has assured me that she will stick to what we set as her diet (and possible training program), so keep checking those ingredients!

Still no one has cracked the problem regarding the number 7 and Greedy Pigs, so that problem is still going. Here is another one for you to solve for this week, to go with the problems you are all posting on the problems page, some of those are quite tough! I am also looking out for Best Blogger at the moment, so get those fingers dancing on your keyboards.

3 W on a T

Good luck and keep blogging!
