MATAPU SCHOOL – Room 1 Talkback

Is it “councillor” or “counsellor”?

We are voting for our school leaders and there is some debate over the spelling of councillor/counsellor. They both have similar meanings, but which one is most appropriate for our school leaders? Vote here!!!

Feel free to comment as to why you chose “councillor” (a member of a council) or “counsellor” (someone who gives professional guidance on personal problems) in the thread below!

  1. Mr C are we allowed to have the definitions put up or do we have to read the dictionary to make up our mind?

  2. Thank-you

  3. I voted for Councillor because the definition sounds right.
Counsellors definition sound more like a therapist than someone on the council.

  4. The top one looks right and the bottom one says sellor as in a basement thing.
