Yes, we are priming for the BP Tech Challenge. This is us having a go at making wind wands, some reached the dizzying heights of almost 3 metres!!! Others…well, despite the lack of height we had fun making them for sure! That tennis ball is quite a lot heavier than you would think when you have to balance it at the top.

Wow, I remember entering the BP Science Technology Challenge when I was in high school. I was Form 5 then (can you work out what that is now?) We had to do something similar – design a tall tower out of newspaper, with a light bulb on the top. We had a circuit to make – ours was like a maypole where a marble on the end of string had to touch some tinfoil, which activated the circuit. You go guys!
