MATAPU SCHOOL – Room 1 Talkback

Sorry for the late post everyone, but here it is!!  Just put your answers on this post, and since it is in so late I will give you until 9am tomorrow morning to get them in.  Great start to the term everyone!!!  As a further challenge, you CANNOT use words already posted by other students.  Remember, each word has to include the letter F.  Good luck!!

You heard it first, the Bunny is in Matapu!!  Apparantly he hijacked our bus this morning and drove our students around the district.  Nobody noticed any difference until one student from the back seat spied two large ears flapping over the bus drivers seat.  It was then the student put two and two together and discovered that their bus driver was indeed the Easter Bunny.  Luckily for us, the Easter Bunny is a reasonably good bus driver and the students were delivered safely to school, with easter eggs in hand!

Here is some interesting stats for you.  These are the number of hits we have had so far this month.  Last month we had our most hits so far since we have been keeping records.  A grand total of 402 visits to our blog!!  So far this month we have had 84.  Spread the word of what we are doing here, lets see if we can get 500 hits this month!

Well done our Matapu Olympians of the future!  Good to see so many of you running in the Weet Bix Triathlon last weekend.  Here is a few pics of part of the team that went up, the second photo was with a certain New Zealand tv personality, do you know who it is???  I have heard that the water was freeeeeeeezing and the bike section was pretty hard, but it was great to see so many of you take part.  Well done, and the medals look great!  Also a big thanks to the parents and staff who managed to transport the students to New Plymouth and who supported them during their run, swim and bike.

This term has flown by!!!  We are into the last week and are finishing off our dvds about our goals, amongst other things.  They are looking great everyone and I can’t wait to start putting them alltogether.  I will be posting a few snippits of these as they get completed, so keep an eye out to see if yours gets posted.

This particular piece of writing was Leilani’s terrific report on dolphins.  We were trying to keep to the same topic in each paragraph, and keep to the overall topic of explaining how a dolphin breathes.  Leilani has done a great job with her writing, well done!
