Our Word of the Week this week is desist. Post your sentences here! Congratulations to the three absolutely terrrrrrrific sentences that used the word serpentine. I will be emailing those imaginative people soon. The contest is still on for you to guess whose sentences they are, just email me who you think it is and you will win house points and Matamoney!
Mr C’s sentence: Just as Mr C was about to leap of the bridge he felt a hand on his shoulder. Slowly he turned his head where another man stood, who then asked him to desist his bungy jump as he had forgotten to tie the cord to his feet.

It is the road rules to desist at a stop sign

When you are going to another country you have to go through the metal detector and if it beeps, you must desist and turn to the security and get checked.

When Playing netball if you do not pass the ball from where the ref is pointing you must desist and turn around and play the pass again in the right place
