Congratulations everyone on a fantastic enviroday on Friday! We managed to nearly create a mud oven, plant a fejoa hedge, plant our boxed gardens, replant our flax shelters, create a lizard habitat, build 3 frog ponds, create mulch, play enviro games, make paper and plant some herb gardens. That’s a crazy amount of work done in just one day!!! Well done to all those involved and our gracious thanks to all the helpers on the day.
As I said earlier today, I would post the winning group tonight for our Kiwi Quiz. I have decided to call it a draw, so both Phillip and Karina’s group will win.
Well done to those who are solving those problems extremely quickly, but I have a different one for you this time. Also, I know that the WIZ’s voice hasn’t changed with the new location but I haven’t been able to connect to the internet because of the storm we have had recently, that voice message will change as soon as I can get online and I will give you a clue. POST YOUR WIZ ANSWERS ON THIS THREAD!! Also don’t forget to get your entries in for our classroom currency. Remember we need a design of the dollars and a name for the currency. Both need to be on the computer. This doesn’t mean you have to design your money on the computer, but you will have to scan your design and save it on there. All entries have to be in by FRIDAY.
Your problem this week ties into the maths we are doing. I want you to explain to me, using the same evidence we have been using in maths at the moment, why 7 is the number that wipes out everyone’s score in Greedy Pigs. Good luck and keep blogging!

Number seven wipes everyone out because it can be made out of many different combinations.
I also want to know who put their name as Anoynomous.
I have a feeling it was either Anna or Alesha.
You can see the many different combinations by drawing tree branches.
An easy way to work out the combinations is to just do the top and half of the middle and half the bottom then you take how many branches there are on the bottom of the tree diagram and times it by how many branches there are on the top.
Hey Mr C, I have just found your blog and I am impressed. Great idea to have a ‘where in the world voki challenge’, I wonder where you got that idea???
I have a blog too, you can check it out at http://mrbakersblog.edublogs.org/
Keep on blogging everyone. Mr Baker (Newbury School)
Good try girls, but you have to be more specific than that!! Think about the information that you gain from doing a tree diagram and use that in your answer.
i think it is seven because on a tree diagram it is the most popular number that will come up
You are very very very close Alesha. What is the probability of getting a 7 compared with other numbers?????
Wow – looks like a great garden? I have just done some work on mine lately, so I can appreciate how much effort must have gone in to make it! Looking forward to seeing some fruit and vegetables.

Pin my tail and call me a deonky, that really helped.
